Going public? The licence handled.
Showing your compilation privately — at a wake, a members’ club night, an invite-only event — is yours to do however you like. Once it’s open to the public, UK premises licences require films to follow BBFC ratings, and uncertified or differently-rated films need approval from the local council. BBFC certification costs £610+ per film; for one-off, festival, or DIY screenings, a local-authority classification is usually the right (and often free or cheaper) route.
